Diabetes
Genova Clinical Research Inc. is conducting a clinical research study of an investigational medication for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. The study lasts about 28 weeks and includes at least 8 visits to our clinic. Eligible volunteers will receive all study related investigational medications or placebo, physical exams, and lab work at no cost. Compensation for time and travel expenses is available for those who qualify.
Those who are interested in this study should:
- Be at least 18 years old or older
- Be diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
- Not have taken any diabetes medications in the last 3 months.
- Not use insulin.
- Not have had certain cancers in the last 10 years (with the exceptions of basal and or squamous cell skin cancer).

Diabetes
Genova Clinical Research is looking for participants to enroll in a clinical research study investigating the safety and efficacy of an investigational drug in combination with metformin (Glucophage®) vs glipizide and metformin in subjects whose glucose is not currently well controlled with metformin alone. This study lasts approximately two years and has between 21 and 23 office visits.
Qualified participants will receive study related medications, lab work and study related physicals at no charge. Subjects participating in the study will also receive a glucometer and supplies for the length of the study.
Interested subjects should:
- Be 18-80 years of age
- Have type 2 diabetes mellitus that is not well controlled with metformin alone
- Not have a history of coronary angioplasty, coronary stent placement, coronary bypass surgery; heart attack, stroke or mini stroke within the past 3 months.
- Not had cancer in the last 5 years (treated basal cell and squamous
cell cancer allowed)
- Not have a history of hepatitis B or C

Diabetes
Genova Clinical Research Inc. is conducting a research study of an investigational medication for the treatment of Type II Diabetes that is not well controlled by metformin alone or metformin in combination with any oral diabetic medication except Actos®.
This study lasts approximately 2 1/2 years and includes 17 visits. Qualified participants will receive study medications, study related physicals, and lab work at no charge. Compensation may be available to qualified participants for each completed visit for time and travel expenses.
If you are interested in this study, you should:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 80 inclusive
- Have type 2 Diabetes that is not optimally controlled by taking metformin alone or metformin in combination with any oral diabetic medication except Actos®.
- Not have a history of cancer in the last 2 1/2 years (basal, squamous cell cancer or cervical carcinoma in situ that has been successfully treated is ok)
- Not have a history of Hepatitis B or C

Diabetes with Heart Disease
Genova Clinical Research, Inc. is conducting a research study of an investigational medication compared to a placebo (an inactive substance) added on to patients' current treatment in subjects with Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. There will be approximately 11 office visits over a 24 month period. Qualified participants will receive study medication or placebo, study related physicals, and lab work at no charge. Compensation may be available to qualified participants for each completed visit for time and travel expenses.
If you are interested in this study, you should:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have Type 2 diabetes
- Have an established cardiovascular disease (CV)
- Not have been diagnosed and/or treated for cancer within the past 5 years (successfully treated basal cell skin cancer is ok)

Diabetes
Genova Clinical Research, Inc. is conducting a clinical research study of an investigational drug vs. placebo (an inactive substance) for the treatment of patients with diabetes with an established cardiovascular disease, or with diabetes and is at risk of cardiovascular disease.
This study lasts approximately 60 months and includes 11 office visits. Qualified participants will receive study medications, study related physicals, and lab work at no charge. Compensation may be available to qualified participants for each completed visit for time and travel expenses.
If you are interested in this study you should:
- Be 40 years or older
- Have type 2 diabetes
- Have an established cardiovascular disease (such as known coronary artery disease, heart attack, or stroke), or have one of the following risk factors: uncontrolled blood pressure, currently smoking, high levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), or low levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL)
- Not currently have cancer
