Osteoarthritis of the Knee
Genova Clinical Research, Inc., is conducting a clinical research study of an investigational medication vs placebo (an inactive substance) vs oxycodone in subjects with moderate to severe knee pain due to osteoarthritis. This study lasts approximately 44 weeks and has about 14 office visits. Qualified participants will receive study drug, study related physicals and lab work at no charge. Qualified subjects may be reimbursed for costs associated with study visits, such as travel expenses, for each completed visit.
Participants must:
- Be 40-80 years of age
- Have moderate to severe osteoarthritis knee
- Not have a history of epilepsy or multiple sclerosis
- Not be diabetic
- Not have had a steroid injection of the study joint in the last 8 weeks
- Not have a history of cancer in the past two years (treated basal cell cancer of the skin is ok)

Osteoarthritis of the Knee
Genova Clinical Research, Inc. is looking for volunteers to participate in a research study comparing an investigational medication versus placebo (an inactive substance) in people suffering from pain due to osteoarthritis of the knee. This study lasts approximately 14 weeks and has up to 7 office visits. Qualified participants will receive study related physical exams, study medication and lab work at no charge. Compensation may be available for qualified participants for travel expenses.
Qualified participants should:
- Be 40 years of age or older
- Have pain from osteoarthritis of the knee for at least 14 days of each month for the last three months
- Not have had a steroid or Synvisc® injection into the target knee for the past six months
- Not have had arthroscopic surgery to the target knee in the last year
- Be taking an anti inflammatory drug for the knee on most days

This study will last up to 8 weeks and has 4 office visits. Qualified participants will receive study related physical exams, study medication and lab work at no charge. Compensation may be available for qualified participants for travel expenses.
Qualified participants should:
- Be between the ages of 40-85 years of age
- Have osteoarthritis of the knee
- Not have had a steroid injection into the knee for the past 3 months
- Be taking an oral or topical anti inflammatory drug or acetaminophen for the knee at least 3 days per week.
